Our next stop was at Ninna-ji 仁和寺
It is the head temple of the Omuro school of the Shingon sect of Buddhism.
More gardens with rock's perfectly raked.
This temple reminded us of what the rameumptom {see Alma 31:21 in the Book of Mormon} might have looked like.
It was 5:00 PM and about to close when we visited and there was not a single other person in sight - it was awesome and the lighting was so good.
Other buildings on the property.
Walking around exploring.
I want to build a house like this some day!!!
On the way out of the temple we experienced probably one of the coolest and most authentic things while in Japan. Lauren could hear some chanting and soon realized it was coming from the bushes we were walking past.
We stopped and watched and listened to these priest practicing their chants.
It was so cool.
I realized I was staring straight into this web while trying to look at the priest!
Money shot.
Right there.
It was one of those experience you could never plan but when it does happen you quickly realize how special it is.
