House Update.

House Update:
On the outside we are getting weather proofing and prep work up for the rock.

The back side.
I was really happy when this truck showed up a couple of days ago.
Inside we are getting dry wall, tape and mud.
 Master Bedroom
 Niche in the master shower.
Butler pantry

It feels like a real house now.

Wasatch County Demolition Derby.

We took Truman to the Wasatch County demolition derby tonight.  At first he didn't know what to think- he had to watch for about forty five minutes before he started to understand the concept of wrecking cars.
It was such a beautiful night.
Truman liked the tow trucks that took the wrecked cars off the field almost as much as the action of the actual derby.
The truck race is always entertaining and it was no different this year.
Within the first couple of minutes we watched a truck roll completely over and start on fire.
Half time entertainment was by the Wasatch county employees and sherifs department.
The final heat was one of the best I have ever seen.  It kept going, and going, and going ...
The final few cars were running with no ties - at this point Truman was completely glued to the action.

The fireworks were some of the best I have ever seen.
What a great night.

BB Gun.

It was a really sad day today at the new house when we realized someone had gone INTO our house over night and shot out two windows with a BB gun :(

24th of July.

We spent a casual 24th of July at the Hopkinsons house with family.
{Mackenzie, Jean, Dallin, Quinn. Addie, Anna, Bodie, Truman, Enoch}

Tons of sparkler fun.
See what I mean by casual?!
We had fun watching the kids play ... with fire.
Truman did NOT like the sound of the fireworks at all - he insisted that Gregg hold his hands like this over his ears all night.
Gregg and Bodie watching fireworks
{Bodie decided he didn't like the sound either}
He fell asleep with his ears covered!
What a sweetie.

Mexico.

Today McKay flew to Mexico.  He called from the Atlanta airport and we got to talk to him for a little while.  He was so excited to finally be going to Mexico, he sounded great.
I got this picture text a couple of weeks ago of McKay and one of my previous Young Woman in the MTC together {Sister Law going to Japan}.
 Bodie

We took these pictures and sent to Mexico so McKay would have some mail waiting for him when he gets there.  I hope he appreciates our attempt to have some Mexican flare.
Truman

You can write to McKay at the address above, its the mission home.
Or just put a regular stamp on a letter and send it to the second address {pouch mail}.

My mom is doing an amazing job at keeping his blog updated.

Spider-Man.

We had a summer work party tonight at the Montage in Deer Valley.
Truman wanted to stay with grandpa and grandma so we only had Bodie.

He saw the little girls getting their faces painted like butterflies and wanted his face painted the same - we finally settled on Spider-man.
Playing games with dad.
He is obsessed with his new look!
I think he makes a cute Spider-man!

Convention 2013.

I just spent that last few days at the Salt Palace in SL with some of my family at the 2013 Stampin'Up! convention.  My dad is on their board of directors.

I quickly snapped this picture of my dad being introduced at the opening session.  I love how the room full of thousands of screaming ladies cheers for my dad when he is introduced - and I love how they want their picture taken with him :)
This year Dallin came and was indoctrinated into the world of Stamping.
Lauren few in from San Francisco for the weekend just to attend convention with us!
We were all interviewed by the Stampin'Up! team for a video they made.
Here is one of the projects we made.
Dallin perfected the 'feathering' technique!
My friend Tami usually sneaks in for an afternoon of stamping - its become a tradition!
My dad is very detailed oriented so he makes a great crafter.
We were trying to finish so many projects in such a short amount of time that we convinced my dad to sit down and help in our rotation.
Some people are SO creative.
I always love looking at the thousands and thousands of ideas.
