Spring Soccer 2014.

Our spring weather has been pretty incredible.
This was the sky tonight at Truman soccer game right before they canceled the game due to lightening.
At about 3:30 the house got really quiet.  I went on a search to find out why and this is what I found on our master bedroom floor.
Power nap before the game?!
He loves playing SO much, and it is so fun to sit on the side lines to watch and cheer.
"Mom, did you see that goal?!"

I love this picture of Gregg coaching.
Racing to the sidelines after a goal.
 Our team.
Micah, Morgan, Truman, Noah and coach Gregg.
{not pictured: the other Noah}

And of course, two additional pictures with Truman's funny faces.

Pete at two months.

Pete is two months old already!
He saw Dr. Haderlie today for his check up.
He measured in at

8 pounds 3 ounces
21 inches long
He is still so small and you can tell that by looking at him in Gregg's arms, BUT he is gaining weight and getting bigger and is otherwise completely healthy.
Sweet Little Pete is what we have been calling him.
And he has the best hair ever.
He started to smile although you really have to work to get a smile out of him.  He mostly smiles for Grandma Quinn and Truman.  He has been consistently sleeping 6-7 hours at night.

Selfie Sunday.

I found this "selfie" by Truman on my iphone of him and Pete.
So cute!  First for everything.

Saturday Night.

We spent tonight at home flipping between the BYU men's volleyball game that our brother-in-law Chris is the coach for and the NASCAR race that our other brother-in-law Matt is an engineer for.

Go BYU men's volleyball on NASCAR #78

Fun night at home in our comfortable bed supporting our family!

Date Night: Volleyball

Tonight Gregg and I snuck away on a much needed date night to watch the BYU men's volleyball team in the semi-finals.

What a great game, and even better that they WON!
Congratulations!

And, Happy 19th Birthday today to my little brother McKay serving in Mexico!

It's a family affair.

5-year check up.

Truman had his 5-year well child check-up and shots today with Dr. Haderlie.
I feel like I am living at the doctors office lately.
 He measured in at:

36 pounds 6 ounces
40.5 inches tall

He also had 5 shots in preparation for kindergarten.

Easter Sunday.

Happy Easter Sunday.
I think this is my first picture attempt with all three kids!
In this one Pete looks like he is just along for the ride, which he is and he has no idea what is coming!
Everyone wants a turn to hold Pete.  Bodie first.
And Truman.
Those faces.

Completely typical Bodie pout face.

Happy Easter from us, to you!

Truman truns 5.

We have a five year old and I can't believe it!
Truman has been telling people for months {like nine months} that he is "a little bit five" so this day could not have come any sooner!
Truman is a great older brother, I can not believe how much he has grown up just since Pete was born.   He sleeps about 12 hours every night and still takes a nap a couple of times a week {when he and Bodie do afternoon quiet time}.  Truman loves school, he goes three mornings a week and can not wait to start kindergarten.  He likes to practice his sight words at night, he is learning how to write his entire name {with the correct upper and lower case} and he can count to 100 almost entirely by himself.
Truman will tell you he wants to be a police officer when he grows up because he does not want to be thrown in the slammer {now there is some logic for you}.  He is a really good eater, and would tell you his favorite food is Aunt Tiffany's Homemade Mac n' Cheese.  We are currently liking the movie and soundtrack to Frozen, like the rest of the nation.  Truman loves to ride his bike, play outside, go bowling and can't wait for warmer weather so we can swim.
Truman was recently introduced to Star Wars and we now have a mild obsession with it at our house.  He wanted a Star Wars cake like his dad did for his fifth birthday.  See the picture below - that is Gregg on his fifth birthday with an awesome R2-D2 cake that his mom made.
When Truman and I sat down to design his cake he decided on a Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader light-up actions figures for toppers on white round cakes {don't know where his vision came from, but we went with it}.

I can not get enough of his big brown eyes!

 Birthday loot.
We decided after a year on the strider bike {see HERE and HERE} it was time for a two wheeler, or a 'peddle bike' as Truman calls it.

Another encyclopedia book, this one on bodies.  The boys are currently obsessed with these books.
Showing us pictures from the book.
And a new bug book which was a big hit.
And, thanks to the recommendation from my cousin { +Jacob} he got the "I spy a Nephite" book, which is quit funny.  He also got some little Star Wars squinkies to play with Bodie and his current "teeny- tiny" obsession, legos, a real wallet from Grandpa and Grandma Quinn with a $5 bill in it{!}, and a transformer from Grandpa and Grandma Simons.
We love you Truman and all you are becoming.
Happy Birthday!
