July.

Here are a few random blog worthy pictures from July.
Truman likes to ride his bike when I go running, it has been a blast to have him as my little biking partner.
One night I took him on a three-mile run.  I wasn't sure if he could ride that long or that far but he did great, the cutest part was how proud of himself he was.  He has been telling everyone he likes to go on three mile bike rides for exercise.
Pete and his intensified finger sucking.
My mom grew these flowers in her garden and shared them with me!
One afternoon Bodie came in from the backyard with this bloody face.  Surprisingly he was not very upset considering Truman's soccer ball had hit him smack in the face.
We have had the best weather this summer.
This is a rain storm rolling in from Park City.
My first harvest of the summer ... zucchini!
Pete helping me clean out our closet.
 Luke, Bodie, Truman and Jake.
These boys have been best buddies this summer.
Getting pulled over - it's worth documenting because I have yet to get a ticket.  I am sure my luck will run out soon.
This is a nightly scene at our house, Gregg in bed at night reading.
Cooling off.
More beautiful skies.
Lots of night time runs.
Bodie covering his ear's for a loud noise - my kids are so sensitive to loud noises.
A stop in Provo canyon to feed this guy.  He was happy about it.
Our front steps have looked like this all summer with our pool toys and towels out to dry every night.
Welcome August!

Legos at the library.

Our library had a lego competition and "Lego Adventure" day.  Truman worked all summer on his entry for the competition.  We put all our lego's in the bedroom next to his and almost every morning he has been in there figuring out what to make.
He came up with this double decker bus idea from the Lego movie, it has been fun to watch him work on his concept.
We walked into the front door of the library to submit his double decker bus and Truman accidentally dropped it, it broke into a million pieces.  I wanted to cry for him.  He had been working so hard for so many days on making the bus perfect.  We all sat down and worked on putting it back together.  This is the little half smile I got after we put it together and determined that everything was going to be okay.
The library hosted a "Lego Adventure" activity a few days later.
Bodie, Truman, Luke and Jake.
 Truman and Emmet!
One of the activities was decorating wafer cookies to look like legos, I though it was a really cute idea.
Bodie ... I mean, Lucy... I mean Wyldstyle.
The activity got a little crazy but we stayed until the very end for the drawings and when Truman won this little Lego set it was worth the stay!  He was so shocked and excited.  This little kit has provided hours of entertainment.  We helped him put it together the first time and since then he has taken it apart and put it together multiple times a day.
So fun.

Church and sleep.

Bodie has always liked taking morning naps - even still at age 3.
We are church at 11 and before the sacrament was passed Bodie was asleep on my lap.  He hurt his finger right before sacrament meeting started so I told him he needed to hold really still on my lap so it wouldn't hurt, next thing I knew he was asleep.  He slept until about halfway through the second hour.
Then during our Sunday School class Pete fell asleep on Gregg's lap while he was teaching.  Our class thought it was funny, joking that Gregg's lesson was so boring that Pete fell asleep.
This is one of the sweet girls in our class who is really good a rocking Pete to sleep for us each Sunday.

Provo River.

Today we rafter the Provo River with the Hopkinsons.  It was the perfect rafting day because it was so hot out and the water was nice and cool.
 Buddies, Truman and Enoch.
Bodie was excited about paddling.
He was tired before we even started.
 Buddies, Truman and Jean.

Mom and Bodie.
Addie has her own kayak so she was on her own.
And so does Enoch.  They both did such a good job on their own.
Tiffany and I were on a raft with all the littles.  It was actually comical!

Gregg and Bodie where on a kayak,
and so were Aaron and Anna.
At one point when we were on a lazy part of the river Truman fell asleep and rolled off the back of the raft.  I reached down in the water and grabbed his lifejacket and placed him back on the raft - I don't think he knew what happened, it didn't even phase him.  It was pretty funny.
At the last minute we convinced my dad to come with us - he brought a snow tube and rafter along the side of the boat ... I think he enjoyed the comic relief we provided :)
Tiffany with Quinn and Jean between us and Truman in front of me.
 Anna on her dad's kayak.
 Anna and Bodie.
We had a blast and decided this needs to be a summer tradition.
