book club.

Today we had book club brunch at Tara's house to discuss "The Help" by Katheryn Stockett.  I really liked the book, I thought it was a cute story.  It was interesting to think what character I might have been most like.  Thanks Tara for the yummy eggs casserole, orange pull apart and fresh fruit!

I give this book four stars our of five.

Like father - like son.
Apparently Truman loves Orange Julius as much as his dad!

I took this picture from the sun-roof of my car while waiting at a stop light in Orem today.  Beautiful.

Spring Fling.

Our ward had a Spring Fling dinner/dance tonight.  I thought I would share photos of the table I decorated.  Unfortunately I had to leave Gregg home sick with bronchial pneumonia, yuck.  I spent most of the night in the kitchen doing dishes with friends!

{if you are interested, I am second in from the right in the yellow dress.  Tiffany is on the far left, standing with the green dress.  Anthony is kneeling in front of her.  Nathan is standing behind me with one arm folded, Dallin is sitting on the whale and McKay is sitting to the left of me on my mom's lap!}

red rocking chair.

My parents have his cute little red rocking chair {I think it might have been mine}.  I set Truman in it and he started to rock.  I don't know how he knew to rock.

This is how Truman gets out of the chair.

No big deal!
Gregg is trying to teach Truman how to throw a football.
Can you ever start too young?!

sunday night.

Our night started with a 'bake off" between Nathan {above} and McKay {below} when they could not agree on what dessert to make.

Nate made chewy peanut butter bars and McKay made classic brownies.
Can you ever go wrong with peanut butter?

My cousin Jake {pictured above} came over with his wife April and their son Dallin for dinner and some games.

Truman and Dallin had fun playing together.
{Are they second cousins or first cousins once removed?  And what is the difference?}

I am not sure who's idea it was to play Chinese checkers, but we did!

what a cutie {this picture if for his grandma Trent!}
Thanks Trents for a fun night.

PS- Does anyone know why my pictures sometime don't show up?  They do on my computer...

skiing.

Gregg took Truman skiing at Deer Valley today. We strapped Truman in the Baby Bjorn onto the front of Gregg.  I think Truman enjoyed it.  He talked on the lift and flapped his hands the entire run down.
I can't ski yet {doctors orders} so I just went up to be the photographer and watch.  What a beautiful day, and we had lots of new snow!

 We are in Park City for the next week 'babysitting' McKay while my parents are out of town.  He skiied Park City with Nathan today {check out that new smile - he got his braces off, yahoo}.

PS - We watched this movie last night.  I highly recommend it!
