Weekend Update.

Here is the LONG Thanksgiving weekend update.  We spent most of the weekend in Park City at my parents house.  All my sibblings {minus Elder Quinn} were intown!

family photos.

We took some Quinn Family photos while everyone was together.  I can't post all the pictures because that would ruin the suprise at Christmas.

{I had 'pink eye' in my right eye really bad - you can tell my eye is only about half open.  Last week I had it in my left eye}

We didn't want to leave Dallin {aka Elder Quinn} out!
{An American family living in Finland invited him and his companion over for Thanksgiving dinner}.

ball game.

It seems that everytime we get together as a family we play a game of kick ball or baseball.  There is hardly any snow in the field behind my parents house so we played some baseball this year.

My cousin Jake Quinn got married in the Draper temple on Friday.  We all attened the wedding and then a very fun and classy dinner and reception.  It was fun to see some of the extened Quinn family.

Too cute!

Saturday morning we hosted a baby shower for my sister-in-law Sharon.  She is due the first of January.  She does not know what she is having.

byu game.

Saturday afternoon Gregg and I left Truman with Grandma Simons and went to the BYU | Utah game.  We got to go to the "blue zone" and enjoy dinner before the game.  We were also treated with bags of goodies including a BYU scarf and beanie.  At half time we went back to the 'blue room' and warmed up with chocolate fondue and all the fixings!  Yummy.

Let's go BYU

What a great game!

fun at grandmas.

My mom watched Truman alot this weekend while Gregg and I were busy putting furniture into one of the houses I have been working on.  He had lots of fun with Grandma

{Gregg's reaction to this mess was 'we have never let Truman get the messy before' to which my mom responded 'that's what grandmas house is for!'}

friday flashbacks.

This is my Grandpa Quinn's army picture and little love note to my grandma.
Classic!

I have been helping my mom scan some of his photos and documents for a life history he wrote.  It has been very fun!

book club.

Saturday we had book club again.  We had a yummy dinner and discussed "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"  by Robert Louis Stevenson.  It was an interesting book.  I am sure you have all heard of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but do you really know the story??  The book was written in the 1800's and is still a classic today.  Thanks Alison

I give this book two stars...it was interesting to learn the real story behind the names, but a little bit hard to read {it's very short, the verbiage was just very different in the 1880's}.

We have two months to read "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown
{I guess I am going to have to give Gregg one of his Christmas presents early so can borrow it!}

sunday night.

Time for a little update.  Sorry I have been a blogging slacker.  We have been very busy around our house.  {I thought I would include some photos of Truman at bath time tonight to go along with my update}.  About a month ago Gregg started a new job with Red Ledges {a gated golf community on the east side of Heber} He loves it and it has been a great move for us so far {if anyone wants to come check it out and golf next summer just let us know}.  We are the new proud owners of a lot in Red Ledges.  We don't plan on building/living there until Truman is in high school.

I don't know what happened to the economy but Real Estate suddenly picked up {or at least our business has}.  We have sold almost all of our listings in the past 60 days.  Hurray!  Even though it has been crazy busy, we are very excited to have the Real Estate market on the up swing {by the way, the new home buyers credit was extended until June 2010 so if you are a first time home buyer that is great news!}

I am also doing two large Interior Design projects right now.  One house has to be done by this Saturday and the other by Christmas (including Christmas decorations).  They are not the typical 'Park City' look that I have done so many times - they are different and I hope they turn out.  I will have them both photographed when they are completely done and share the photos on my blog.

Truman is great.  At his 6 month appointment he only weighed 12 pounds 14 ounces.  Small fry.  He eats, sleeps and poops great so I can't complain.  He goes along with me everywhere including to office meetings and shopping for interior design clients.

On Thursday night I hosted a really fun Girls Night Out were we made 5 fondues! I should have taken a photo.  The next night my family came over and we made 3 more fondues.  It was a triple date {dad and mom, Gregg and Camille, and Nate and Lauren plus our 5th wheel McKay}!
Here's to another busy week!

PS- Truman got his first hair cut!
