Thanksgiving 2012.

Thanksgiving was very low-key and relaxing this year - which is just what we needed after a stressful November and a big December ahead {more on all that later}.
I made this thankful tree for everyone to add their thankful leaves to - Truman and Jean drew pictures of each other for the tree!
The dinner!
My aunt Marie and uncle Jerry came over from Colorado, and my grandparents came up from St. George.
Dallin was the lucky uncle who got to share his lap {and plate} with Truman!  Thanks Dallin.

I take no credit for these darling decorations - my friend Tami had the idea - we made them earlier this week together.
Nap-time.
and pie time {I was in charge of making all the pies}.
Jean playing dress-ups.
Stories with grandpa.
Santa's elf in the wood shop.
and Santa's other elf at the sewing machine!

We are thankful for all that we have and especially for our families!

s'mores.

We kicked off the Thanksgiving weekend tonight with a trip up the funicular at the St. Regis for s'mores by the fire.

On the ride down Truman liked hanging from the top of the funicular.
And then of course Bodie had to try.

oh Christmas tree!

Today Dallin and Truman took our Christmas Tree tag and went in search of the perfect tree.  They went up to Soapstone with their tools and a sack lunch.
A big thanks to Dallin for taking Truman and for taking these photos - too cute!

Opps!  The axe gell out of his hands on his back swing.

{Truman took these photos}

What a great adventure for a little boy.

Green Smoothy.

We started having "green smoothies" for breakfast this summer and now my kids ask for them!

We start with a huge handful of fresh baby spinach
a big handful of fruit
{I used fresh in the summer and now I buy frozen mixed berries and tropical fruit}
a banana
1 cup of water/milk {more if your fruit is frozen to thin it out}
2 tablespoons of flaxseeds
4 drops doTERRA wild orange

I mix it up a bit depending on what I have in my fridge and what I need to use up.
They are very tasty!
Enjoy!

Sleepover.

These pictures are from a few weekends ago, but I still wanted to get them up.
Jean spent the night at our house and I thought it was pretty cute when I went down to Trumans room and they were asleep in the exact same position.
Love cousin sleep overs.
