Truman truns 5.

We have a five year old and I can't believe it!
Truman has been telling people for months {like nine months} that he is "a little bit five" so this day could not have come any sooner!
Truman is a great older brother, I can not believe how much he has grown up just since Pete was born.   He sleeps about 12 hours every night and still takes a nap a couple of times a week {when he and Bodie do afternoon quiet time}.  Truman loves school, he goes three mornings a week and can not wait to start kindergarten.  He likes to practice his sight words at night, he is learning how to write his entire name {with the correct upper and lower case} and he can count to 100 almost entirely by himself.
Truman will tell you he wants to be a police officer when he grows up because he does not want to be thrown in the slammer {now there is some logic for you}.  He is a really good eater, and would tell you his favorite food is Aunt Tiffany's Homemade Mac n' Cheese.  We are currently liking the movie and soundtrack to Frozen, like the rest of the nation.  Truman loves to ride his bike, play outside, go bowling and can't wait for warmer weather so we can swim.
Truman was recently introduced to Star Wars and we now have a mild obsession with it at our house.  He wanted a Star Wars cake like his dad did for his fifth birthday.  See the picture below - that is Gregg on his fifth birthday with an awesome R2-D2 cake that his mom made.
When Truman and I sat down to design his cake he decided on a Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader light-up actions figures for toppers on white round cakes {don't know where his vision came from, but we went with it}.

I can not get enough of his big brown eyes!

 Birthday loot.
We decided after a year on the strider bike {see HERE and HERE} it was time for a two wheeler, or a 'peddle bike' as Truman calls it.

Another encyclopedia book, this one on bodies.  The boys are currently obsessed with these books.
Showing us pictures from the book.
And a new bug book which was a big hit.
And, thanks to the recommendation from my cousin { +Jacob} he got the "I spy a Nephite" book, which is quit funny.  He also got some little Star Wars squinkies to play with Bodie and his current "teeny- tiny" obsession, legos, a real wallet from Grandpa and Grandma Quinn with a $5 bill in it{!}, and a transformer from Grandpa and Grandma Simons.
We love you Truman and all you are becoming.
Happy Birthday!
