Family.
I wanted to post some Christmas highlights. Truman didn't know what to think with all the toys!
Truman showing his cousin how to play basketball.
Truman got 300+ of these colored balls - I think the adults had more fun throwing them around then the kids. Thanks McGowns - I will be picking up ball the rest of my life!
Truman giving dad his gift (complete with drawings of basketballs on the outside)
Gregg's gift from Santa!!!
Truman LOVES to color.
This is Christmas morning - Truman opening a gift from Grandpa and Grandma Quinn - I LOVE his face in these pictures.
We had a great Christmas with BOTH our families. I will post more pictures from Krista (of the Simons Family gathering) including some really cute ones of all the grandkids, once I get a copy.

fun at grandmas.
Truman doesn't call it 'grandma and grandpa's house' it's either 'papa's house' for Grandma and Grandpa Simons or 'papa and kay-kays' house' for Grandma and Grandpa Quinn's House {because Uncle McKay lives there}
This picture needs no explanation other then he had a big morning playing with cousins - he never falls asleep anywhere but his bed and the car seat - so to find him asleep on Grandma and Grandpa Quinn's sofa early this afternoon was a huge surprise!

We tried meeting Santa again today {here is a recap of what happened the first time}.
Today we were at the Red Ledges kid Christmas party - Truman did warm up to this Santa a little better!

Annie.
I went to the Midway City dinner theater production of Annie tonight with a girlfriend. I thought I would leave a quick review since I know a few of you will be attending. It was really cute and I enjoyed seeing a play at Christmas other then The Christmas Carol. The dinner was so much better then two years ago. This year each of the local restaurants did a portion of the meal (what a cute idea). Spin Cafe made the appetizer, The Homestead made the salad, The Zermatt made the main dish, Blue Boar Inn made the vegetables, Days Market made the rolls, Snake Creek Grill did the dessert, and Mrs. Calls had candy gifts for everyone. It was so much food that they handed out aluminum foil for people to take home their left overs.

playing basketball.
This is a video of Truman playing ball with his Uncle McKay.
My mom made this video and sent to us while we were in Hawaii - I have been meaning to post it for a while.
There is a video of him playing basketball last Sunday at home.
Now you can see how obsessed Truman really is with basketball.

FHE.
For family night this week we went to my parents ward Christmas party in Park City. My sister and her four kids were there as well. As you can see Truman didn't love his first Santa experience.
Neither did Jean.
So of course we thought it would be fun to put them both on Santa's lap together...
Tiffany and I decided it wasn't a good idea for two pregnant woman to ice skate so McKay and Gregg took all the kids out on the ice! Thanks guys!

book club.
We had book club today. We read The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. It's about a young boy growing up in Afghanistan - his trials, his friendships, the culture, and his eventual move to America and life here. It is a great novel with some great twists. We had a good dissuasion about friendship, betrayal, love, and honesty. One of my favorite parts of the book is when Baba (the father) is explaining to Ali (his son) that Theft is the only sin.
Thanks Tara for the scrambled eggs, fruit, blueberry coffee cake and orange juice.
I am giving this book four and a half stars out of five.
By the way - the movie is really good and follows the book exactly.
Next month...we don't know what we are reading.. still waiting for Tara McGown to decide!
Untill then I am going to read Two from Galilee by Marjorie Holmes and The Story of the Other Wise Man by Henry van Dyke
