pack 'n play.

We need your help again!
What pack'n play to you like or dislike? Why? (what features are good/bad)

I know lots of people are very happy with the Graco brand,
but has anyone tired the Chicco one?

  1. Which one is lighter? Ours is so heavy and so when you are flying with it it is a pain. I think the best feature is the bassinet, but I can't think of anything else that you really need.

  2. I would suggest finding one with vibration. At least it was perfect with Alex and really helped her fall asleep. I am curious to see if it helps the next one as much (we didn't have it with Ayden) but it was a lifesaver.

  3. We have a Graco one that looks like it has everything that the one you have pictured just different colors of course. I really like the bassinet. And the changing table comes in handy. Some people don't use it, so it just depends on you guys. I hear really good things about chico brands for carseats and highchairs, but don't know about the pak n play. Good luck.

  5. We did a whole bunch of research on these. My mom also had watched a show where some women tested all the different kinds of these. They found that they liked the ones with the least amount of "bells and whistles". They said that they were easier to tote around if you didn't have all those extras. I think so too. Now that Abi is getting older, we have had to take off the mobile on the top of ours because all she does is play with it and doesn't sleep. We also have a Graco but it is the simplest one we could find. I got it new on Amazon.com for a steal. I just don't think that it is worth it to pay for extra things that your baby won't know the difference if they have it or not. Good luck and let us know what you get!

  6. The only ones I've tried are the babytrend and Graco. I like the Graco...I don't care for the baby trend one!!! Also, I think most come with a bassinet, which is good if you are going to have baby sleep in your room, but I have just found the bassinet to be annoying.

  7. I am a simple person, so I agree simple is best. It's less things to have to pack around and put together, plus less to lose.

  8. We have a Graco and love it. Bought one for grandma's house too.

  9. The idea of a pack n play is that you can pack it up. So the more fancy peripheral features you get with it, the harder it's going to be to pack and haul around, in my opinion. We got some old used one from one of Rachel's relatives and it has worked just fine. I mean, it really just needs to hold the kid in...

  10. I too have the Graco one with the changing table and all. I think this is what really sets it apart. It sits up high enough so you aren't bending over as much changing and I like all the cubbies for wipes, etc. We did a lot of research and went with Graco. We've been really happy with it.
