Mrs. Fields Cookies
(high altitude)
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup minus 2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cube butter
½ cup butter flavored Crisco
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 ½ cups flour plus 1 tablespoon water
1 cup old fashion oatmeal
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon baking soda
One bag chocolate chips
Cream together butter and sugar
Add eggs and vanilla
Add salt and baking soda
Add flour and oatmeal - blend
Fold in chocolate chips
Bake at 375 for 10 minutes
Makes about 3 dozen

ReplyDeleteThis IS the recipe! The dough is terrific--you may not get a chance to bake them.
ReplyDeleteIt made 4 dozen for me and I only needed to cook them for about 8 mins (I like them gooey).
what do you do for "low altitude"?
ReplyDeleteI am not sure about a "low altitude" recipe. Try 1 cup of brown sugar exactly and no water in the flour. Good Luck and let me know how they turn out!
