Truman Zombie.

I have no idea where Truman got the idea to be a zombie for Halloween but we went with it.
He wanted to be a white zombie.
He tried so hard not to smile and to look scary :)
Love him!

Skeleton Bodie.

Bodie has known ever since we started talking about Halloween that he wanted to be a skeleton.  I am okay with that, it's easy enough!

Kindergarten Halloween Party.

I was headed out the door to help at Truman's kindergarten Halloween Party when his teacher called to tell me Truman didn't feel well.  In the background I heard him start to throw up!
Poor kid and poor teacher!
When I got to the school nurses' office he was sitting their in a changed of clothes pale as a ghost!  I took a double take when I saw him he was so white.
Poor guy - I hope it passes quickly.

Primary Halloween Party.

Our Young Men and Young Woman hosted a Halloween Party for the Primary kids tonight.  It was a home run activity.  The youth did such a good job and the kids loved it!
Super Man Ben, Zombie Truman and Skeleton Bodie.
Before the party the kids "practiced" trick-or-treating at grandma Lynn and grandpa Bob's house.
Each class/quorum had a station they were in charge of.  At this station they decorated cookies.

 Donuts off a sting.
 These are his favorite donuts!
Look at all those cute, happy kids!
The boys loved looking at their selves in the mirror all decked out!

Thanks YM and YW.

Pete the Pumpkin.

When you are the third boy in the family you don't get to chose what you want to be for Halloween!  Pete got to wear the same joack-o-lantern costume that both Truman and Bodie wore.

And the photo-op is over!
You know that face ... he's concentrating on a little something for his diaper!!!

Primary Program.

Today was our primary program.
Truman sat nervously on the front row without a smile on his face.  When it was his turn he stood up with some of his other class mates and in unison they said their part like cute little 5 year olds do {he's the one with his back to us}.  He sat back down in his seat and laid his head down on his teachers lap.  When he finally put his head up he was pale and asked if he could come sit with us.  That was the end of that!  Gregg took him home a little sick to his stomach.  Oh well, they can't all be a home-run!

Red Ribbon Week.

This week was Red Ribbon week at school.
On Monday Truman came home from school and said,

"Mom, today we learned how to get free drugs at school."

Oh great!
That is not what I remember Red Ribbon week being about when I was in elementary school!
PJ day.
Jersey day with his friend Ben.

There were a lot of fun, local, free events this week in connection with Red Ribbon week.
We tried to do as many as we could.

Pumpkin Carving.

For FHE tonight we invited Dallin and Becca over for dinner and to carve pumpkins with us.
They brought this HUGE pumpkin that my mom grew in her garden.
There was this nasty green mold looking stuff inside ... it was cold and frozen.

The pumpkin was perfect for Pete.

 Gregg enjoying his pumpkin carving
I cleaned the seeds {which I hate doing} then seasoned them and baked them {I love eating them so I guess it make cleaning them worth it}.
We put the pumpkins out on the front porch and put candles in them.
After cleaning up the carving mess and putting the kids to bed we all jumped into our bed with popcorn to watch Studio C.
This is actually a regular scene at our house on Monday nights!

California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah!

The drive home was beautiful, and rather uneventful, just they way you want a rode trip to be!
The kids slept for the first several hours.  We stopped for lunch and to play and then it was back to activities in the car.
Truman is really into coloring so he colored and drew most of the time, I was so surprised.  I didn't even use half of my "Marry Poppins" bag full tricks and treats to entertain.
We were planning on staying the night in St. George.  We stopped at our cousins to have dinner with them.  We ordered pizza and let the kids play.  After a couple of hours of playing and full bellies we put the kids PJ's on them and decided to head home.  We stopped by the infamous Swig for a drink and treat and then we hit the road.  The kids were asleep by the time we were back on I-15, Gregg  turned on the BYU game to listen to and before we knew it we were home!!
