Truman at four.

I love this kid and its easy to see why.

He loves to go to school and see his friends and especially his teacher Miss. Camee.  He also likes music class, Sunbeams {his Grandma Simons is his teacher} and soccer {but is excited for T-ball next}.

He can not wait for the weather to get warm enough to play outside all day.  He likes to take long baths with Bodie and "swim" while they are in there.  During the winter months he loved to go to the rec center, the 'jumping station' and Grandma Simons basketball court!
He is a really good eater and sleeper.  Most days he still takes an afternoon nap, also known as "quiet time."  On days that he gets really tired he will ask for quiet time.  He shares a bedroom with Bodie and sleeps 12+ hours at night.  Currently he likes toast with cinnamon sugar on it for breakfast and a green smoothy {I made real strawberry shakes - with ice cream and all - for breakfast the other morning and neither of my boys would drink it, they wanted green smoothies!!}  Can't complain about that.
Anything green is "army" and if you are luck you get to be in the army.
And of course, there is still a major obsession with ball - any kind - at our house.
Girl angry bird
{this little friend of ours loves Bodie and Truman love her - so we have a little love triangle going on}
Little brother - the real 'angry' bird!
I tied these balloons to the piano bench and they were entertained for hours running in circles around the bench hitting the balloons!

First Soccer Game.

Don't be fooled by that cute face, there is a story that follows.

These pictures were taken last Thursday right before Truman had a soccer clinic with the Wasatch High School soccer tearm.  He told me "this is how soccer players stand for pictures."
I am not sure where that idea came from, but we went with it - its cute.

He played and played and player with the ball until all the kids and coches showed up - then he wanted NOTHING to do with playing soccer.  I have to admite, I had one of those parenting moments.  I didn't know what to do.

He has been asking to play soccer for over a year, he is finally old enough and then today he asked about a zillion times it was time for soccer practice.  He was so excited to get his gear on and go - we were even 20 minutes early!

Then when it came time to listen to the high school kids and do drills, he wanted nothing to do with it.
Whether he did the drills or not didn't really matter - they were just for fun for the kids playing in the rec league that stared today.  It felt to me like he was not participating because he didn't want to do what he was told by the high schoolers.  That to me felt like I had a child who was acting entitled.  I had all those thoughts running through my mind,

"I have raised a child who feels entitled" "Maybe I am being to hard, he is only 4" "We just paid money for this, and bought all the gear and now he won't play" "Maybe he is just tired" "Maybe the sight of hundreds of kids is just to overwhelming" "Maybe I have raised a spoiled child" "Maybe he is not feeling well"
After lots of tear from Truman and what felt like lots of humiliation {because I was the mom with 'that' child'} he was finally able to tell me he felt really tired.

At 5:50 PM as I was pulling out of the high school parking lot BOTH kids fell asleep.
When we got home I took them out, put PJ's on them and put them in bed - they slept through it all.
He woke up 14 hours later a new little boy!

I think he was tired!
Fast forward to today - it was his first game and we had NO idea what to expect out of him.
In true Utah spring-like fashion it was cold and snowing!  But he ran out on the field and played like a champ the entire game {we were missing one little boy and one little girl would not play so we had no substitutes}.

He is pictured above with one of his buddies, Lance from Sunbeams who is on the team.
Here is a pretty funny little video of them falling over each other.
Lance has a little brother Hank who is Bodie's age.  They had a blast eating the half-time snacks and drinks while their older brothers played.

I think it is going to be a fun season!

He's four today.

Today is Truman's 4th Birthday.
Wow.
I can't believe it.
Our schedule has been very crazy this week {and continues to be} so we are going to celebrate all weekend.
His new strider bike - so excited.
Learning how to balance on two wheels.
Truman has really been interested in playing doctor lately so he got this play doctor case full of fun stuff.
Glasses on, ready to play.
Fixing dads finger.
Giving Bodie a shot ... in the rear-end!
Ouch!
Poor Bodie is going to be the victim of Dr. Truman I am sure of it!
More shots - torture - for Bodie.
Future Dr. Truman?!
Maybe.

Love this boy.

Logan.

One of my dear friends from High School was married in the Logan temple today.  We made a little get-a-way out of it and left the kids home for the night with Grandma Simons.
The happy couple - love that he is holding the flowers!
After the sealing there was a dinner at this cute diner.  Her wedding was '50's inspired.
Gregg and I could not get over how beautiful Logan was - I only remember going there once before.  The temple was beautiful and it was fun to be with a few of my high school girlfriends.
The reception.
She wore her grandmothers dress at the temple and then her sister made her this dress for the reception - she looked darling and I am so happy for her!

Congratulations Tessa!

Mustache Party.

Today we helped our friend Brandon celebrate his Birthday 'stache style.
Bodie looks good with a stache.
The Fifes.
Brandon made ribes on the trager.
We played a little mustache matching game.  With the help of Google Images I won!
The delicious chocolate mustache cake.
I think Bodie looks awesome with a mustache - it fits him well.
Our little party pooper -
This was his second nap of the day -
Have I mentioned yet on this blog how much I dislike one o'clock church?
It messes up my kids schedule.

Quinns Baptism.

Cute little Quinn was baptized today.
Tiff and Quinn
Aaron and Quinn
Quinn with her friends the Lovell's
Good thing Enoch has these two boy cousins!
He is the loan ranger in his family with all girls!
He is usually the first to tell people that it is okay that he has all sisters because Truman and Bodie are his brothers!
Love this family of 7 + one on the way!
Jean really wanted to be in a picture with Quinn.
It was a supper windy day so I told Quinn that next time I am down at her house I would take her to the temple grounds and do a real photo-shoot in her baptism dress.
Us, in the wind!
Addie and McKay.
Anna and I reading stories - for some reason Anna prefers me above anyone else (including Grandma Quinn and her mom - I will take it, I like haveing a little girl}.
Addie getting ready for a new baby in the family!  This is sweet baby Trent.
Tiffany's mother-in-law made these amazing cooks that look like peanut butter cookies but they are not.  Once I try out the recipe I will share it.
Quinn and Jean playing with their new dolls Grandma Quinn gave them.  Quinn's was a baptism girl with a white dress holding scriptures.
And, I couldn't help myself ... I had to share this one!
Love you Enoch!
{and I love Quinns face and Anna wondering what is going on}
