Around the house.

Here are some of our Halloween decorations around the house this year.
This is my version of a fall wreath I saw on Pinterest.
This little mummy is obsessed with pumpkins.  Every time he sees one {which I practically everywhere you look} he points and yells "pun-kin" - and he can say it almost perfectly.
represent.
Enough! - he has the best pout/cry face.

Musical Halloween.

Today the kids got to wear their costumes to music class.
Here they are with Miss Emily our music teacher.
 Cute Jase.
Do my boys look totally jealous of this football costume or what?!
 Kids from music class.
We made these little treat bags and gave to the other kids today.

Friends.

Earlier this week we got together with two of my high school friends.
Jamie {in the middle} was visiting from New York so we all met in Park City at Toris new house {Tori's son that is Truman age was a school}.

It was fun to see each other again and catch up! Such great friends.

Baby Ender.

I made the baby blanket pictured above and sent down to St. George a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of our new nephew being born.

A few days later he was born and I received the picture below via text with a "thank you".  So cute!

Russell M. Nelson.

{The boys Sunday morning ready for church}.

Sunday we had Russell M. Nelson visiting our ward.  He got to hear from him for about 15 minutes at the end of sacrament meeting.  It felt really intimate and personal when he was speaking to us {we have a huge ward so there were tons of people there as usual}.  I took a few quick notes on some things he said that I wanted to remember.

He talked about missionary work and especially about the new announcement the men may now serve missions at 18 years old if they would like and woman 19 years old.  He said it was by inspiration because to get 15 men {the 12 apostles + the first presidency} to agree on anything in near imposible!  He said we need more missionaries and this will provide "many, many, many more missionaries"

He said his own 16-year old granddaughter was so excited about the announcement when he saw her later that Saturday afternoon.  Elder Nelson currently has four daughters serving missions with their husbands.

He said there was a young woman who had her mission papers in five days after the announcement and that last Friday they issued her a call {and that she was receive it in the mail this Wednesday}!
After sacrament meeting I was cleaning up the paper, stickers and spilled fish crackers around our bench when Elder Nelson walked by me, stopped, looked at what I was doing, chuckled, and put out his hand to shake mine.  I smiled and said "it was nice to have you in our sacrament meeting today" - I guess it was a little cheesy, but it caught me totally by surprise when I looked up and saw him there - it was the truth, it was cool to have him speak to us.

Coyote Gulch Part II.

I received these additional photos from my sister Tiffany of the backpacking adventures.
 {Brett, Gregg, McKay, Paul, Aaron, Tiffany}

My dad is known for his amazing gourmet backpacking meals.

McKay happy to see I sent treats with Gregg.
I like this picture!  I made these "grand-canyon bars" for the hikers .. I was happy to see they backpacked them in .. they weighed a ton!

Coyote Gulch.

{McKay, Gregg, Joel, Tiff, Brett}

Early Thursday morning my family stopped by our house to pick up Gregg for a weekend backpacking trip.  They went to southern Utah to Coyote Gulch canyon.  My sister Tiffany and her husband Aaron went, my dad, my brother McKay and his friend Brett and my uncle Joel.

Gregg said it was really fun and really pretty.  They hiked about 30 miles.

I thought it was funny when he told me he packed his iPad in and watched a movie with McKay and Brett one night.

Thanks for the pictures dad.

Fall Fun.

My mom, Dallin and I are watching my sisters five kids while she and her husband are backpacking with the rest of my family.  Today we met in Heber at the Train Station after I picked up Truman from school.  We had hamburgers, soup, fries, onion rings and shakes.
Anna.
Enoch.
Jean.
Addie.
Truman.
 Dallin.
 Friends and cousins.
We gave the kids 25 cents to put in the train display and it did not disappoint!
Next we were off to the new dollar store in Heber so everyone could pick out a treat.  It was fun walking up and down every isle seeing what excite the kids.
Then it was off to Cascade Springs for a fall hike.
Yesterday Enoch and Truman found a bunch of cap guns at Grandmas.  We have shopped for two days looking for caps for the guns; finally today at the dollar store we found some.  The two boys had been waiting SO patiently {for two days} to load their cap guns and shoot them.  Dallin made them wait until we got to the hike to finally shoot them - the minute Truman shot his he freaked out and started to cry.  He discovered he does not like cap guns.  We all laughed at how upset he was, especially considering the anticipation over the past two days.
Still mad because Enoch just shot off his cap gun!
