mutual.

Tonight for mutual the kids did a 34 picture scavenger hunt in 45 minutes.
The pictures they took were very creative and funny.
Easy activity, little preparation on our part and very fun.

Lemon Bunt Cake.

{I made these for our Young Woman for Easter}
Lemon Bunt Cake

1 Lemon cake mix (Duncan Hines Signature Supreme)
1 (3.4 oz) package instant lemon pudding and pie filling
4 eggs
1 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water and oil in a large bowl.  Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 2 minutes.  Pour into pans.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Cool in pan for 25 minutes.

Glaze:
One pound of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of corn syrup, fresh lemon zest, 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon and enough milk to make it the consistency you want.

Like father like son.

 Like Father.
Like Son.

I took the boys {all three of them} to Red Ledges Golf Course two weeks ago to take some "Easter" pictures.  It was to overcast and the golf course was not green yet.  I was really bummed with the way the pictures turned out.

{okay I like this one, priceless}
"Happy Gilmore" approach.
We will try again later when the grass is greener!

Volleyball.

We went to another BYU volleyball game tonight.  It was triple date with my sister Tiffany and her husband Aaron and my brother Dallin and his date.  We brought our kids - so it was kind-of a date!
 We have upped our level of intensity - we now bring a volleyball to the volleyball game to sit on!
 Just checking to see if it's still there.
It ended up being a very enjoyable, relaxing, fun evening with everyone.  Thanks!

Provo Canyon.

 Today for our staycation {instead of a vacation} Bodie, Truman and I met my younger brother Dallin at the bottom of Provo canyon for a walk.  We walked to Bridal Veil falls and then on to Vivian Park where we played and had a picnic - then back to our cars.  The weather was overcast but warm - I accidentally burned Bodies legs.
You can see part of the trail from the highway and I had always wanted to try it.  I mentioned it to Dallin earlier this week and he said he had wanted to do it also; he only has a few days left in Utah before he heads to Texas for a summer job.  We talked about making a summer bucket list of activities to do.  This would be one of them.  Done!
The high-light of driving Provo canyon for Truman is the big tunnel and the big waterfall so he was delighted when we talked up close to it.

After our walk we went to Dallin's apartment in Provo to change our close and clean up and the we did some shopping.

Swimming.

I think we will be living at the pool this summer!
Because it is spring break Red Ledge is heating the pool all week.
So nice!
And with the temperature outside at 75 degrees, it was a perfect day!
 Trumans head was under the water more then it was out of the water.
This was his first time using goggles and really putting his head in the water.
It is going to be a fun summer!

Tennis.

w
 It is spring break in Wasatch county this week so we are having a staycation.
The last two days we have gone to Red Ledges to play tennis and swim in the afternoon.

Truman is pretty good at tennis; for a two year old.  He and Gregg hit it back and forth several times.
Gregg was a Colorado state high school tennis champion so he is excited for Truman and Bodie to play.

{little white boy can jump!}
Gregg posed this picture so some day when Bodie is a champ we can show this!
