ebay.

I discovered eBay.  I know what you are saying...its about time {Gregg said I was 15 years too late}.  I know about eBay but the whole 'bidding' thing drives me crazy so I never buy anything from there.

Here is the story.  About 5 years ago our neighbor in Park City was dying.  My mom inherited his stamp collection.  It has been sitting in her basement ever since.  She said who ever sold it could have the money - so around Christmas time something possessed me to get the collection from her and see what I could do with it.  I didn't have any luck finding stamp appraisers in the greater Salt Lake area.  I posed it on ksl.com to see what kind of reaction I would get.  I came in contact with a guy who is a stamp enthusiast who agreed to meet with me and Gregg and look at the collection.

He recommend that we would get the most money by organizing the collection and selling it on eBay in smaller parts.  So I spent most of February {yes, it took an entire month} organizing and photographing the collection and posting it.

{I had a few people from ksl.com offer me $250 for the collection & I was temped to just take the money and be done with it}.

Pictured above: the boxes and boxes of stamps.
Pictured below: The most expensive stamps in the collection! (who would have known)

It turned into my February project to get the stamp collection sold and out of my house.  It was almost like a full time job.  I would work on the organization, pictures and listings in the afternoon when Truman was down for a nap.

When all was said and done I had 72 listings of stamps on eBay and I made $1,050  - it defiantly felt worth my time!
It was a fun winter-time project and I learned how to sell on eBay {still don't like buying on eBay}!

dallin's home!

Dallin finally made it home!

My mom always said McKay would be the tallest - I don't know how she knew.
 Meeting his future sister-in-law Lauren
Grandma Arave {happy birthday Grandma}!
Dallin, McKay and Dad.
Dallin's plane kept getting delayed later and later so the little kids didn't get to go to the airport to meet Dallin.  Tomorrow.

byu basketball.

Gregg and I {and Truman} took the Laurels and Mia Maids to the BYU mens basketball game for mutual tonight.  I think everyone had a good time.
It was a late night for Truman - he snuggled dad the entire second half.

Hooray for BYU scoring over 80 points!  Free chocolate cake at Magleby's!

sibblings.

Yesterday my mom and I took my sisters kids down to meet their new sister.  It was pretty cute to see them love her and check out how small she is!
I am not sure Anna loved being unwrapped and undressed over and over!
Enoch gets another sister!

Jean got a little possessive of Anna. At one point Anna started to cry so my mom tried to take her from Jean.  Jean immediately put Anna in a tight head lock - then Enoch tried to help by putting Jean in a head lock - poor Anna was screaming her head off as she got 'loved' {mauled} by Jean.  I had to set the camera down and help my mom pry Jean off Anna.  Tiff is going to have to keep Anna away from Jean!

baby Anna.

Gregg, Truman and I went to meet baby Anna yesterday and take Tiff and Aaron dinner.
Tiff and I tried to take some cute photos of baby Anna but she was not cooperating.  Here is one that turned out okay.  My mom and I are taking all Tiff's kids down today to meet Anna so we will try for more photos.
She kind of looks like a chunk in this photo but she really is tiny!

I am sure there will be lots more photos of Anna to come until baby Simons #2 gets here - oh, and pictures of my little brother DALLIN who gets home from his mission on THURSDAY :)

Happy Monday.

sledding.

It snowed all day around here yesterday.  We decided to take Truman on a little sledding adventure down the road to Grandma and Grandpa Simons' house for waffle night {every Saturday night we get together and have waffles for dinner}.  At first Truman was not to sure about the sled, but once they got going he said "weeeee" all the way there!

{Gregg had all his tennis stuff with him because he played tennis with his brother after dinner}.
I love his face in these photos!

We made it to grandma's front door with only a few minor slips!  The roads were pure ice - at one point I set a pan of cinnamon rolls down to change a setting on my camera and the entire pan went sliding down the road.
Thanks Simons for dinner - it really hit the spot on a cold night!

Like I said yesterday in Friday Flashbacks, my sister was determined to have her baby this weekend, and she did it.  I need to learn how to do that!

tea party.

Truman was invited to a Valentine's Day Tea Party with his girlfriends.
All the girls wore their best princess dress so Truman wore his best Valentine outfit to win the girls over.
He wasn't very interested in 'pin the jewel on the crown' or the princess stories - he found a ball and racket and played by himself!

books.

{22 months old this week}
Truman loves books {as I am sure most kids do}.  This morning after his shower he was sitting on our bed waiting for us to dress him for church looking at some books - it was too picture perfect to not take some pictures!
