A big congratulations to Allison on her wedding day. I met Allison while I was on my mission. I was able to teach her and see her get baptized! I became good friends with her and her family - I served in their ward in Malibu for 7 months. Now Gregg and I are so excited to be part of her wedding! More pictures to come...

ARCHES NATIONAL PARK, Utah - One of the largest and most photographed stone arches in Arches National Park has collapsed.

Wall Arch fell sometime early last week, though no one has reported seeing it collapse, said Paul Henderson, the park's chief of interpretation.

He said the arch, located along the popular Devils Garden Trail, was claimed by forces that will eventually destroy other arches in the park: gravity and erosion.

Mrs. Fields Cookies
(high altitude)

2/3 cup sugar
1 cup minus 2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cube butter
½ cup butter flavored Crisco
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 ½ cups flour plus 1 tablespoon water
1 cup old fashion oatmeal
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon baking soda
One bag chocolate chips

Cream together butter and sugar
Add eggs and vanilla
Add salt and baking soda
Add flour and oatmeal - blend
Fold in chocolate chips

Bake at 375 for 10 minutes

Makes about 3 dozen

Okay. This is a funny story.

I serve in the Primary presidency in our ward - Sunday we had a visitor that was crying for his mom (it was S.Hughes grandson -from the former general RS presidency). I tried so hard to distract him but he continued to cry for his mom.

I finally decided to take him out into the hall and try to bribe him with some candy. I opened the door into the hall and pulled him out. I started explaining that his mom was in a "boring adult class" and that "primary was way more fun." I noticed someone else in the hall approaching us as we had our little 'discussion' about primary vs. going to the adult class. I pulled the little crying kid to the side of the hall so the approaching stranger could pass us.

I looked up to see Elder Jeffery R. Holland standing there watching the ENTIRE episode. He was the ONLY other person in the hall besides us...good thing I was not yelling at some kid!
