Let's Play Music Recital

Tonight both Bodie and Truman had their year-end "Let's Play Music" recitals.
This is Bodie's cute first year class.
Both first year classes.

This is the kids doing the Dinosaur song.
 Mrs. Emily's cute first years.

3rd years getting ready to perform their first compositions.
Truman knew from the very beginning of the semester what he wanted his composition to be about, Lego's and Star Wars.  He loved playing around on the piano and coming up with the sounds he wanted for his piece.
Mrs. Emily helped Truman during his first private lesson and because of the birth of Norah {and our crazy schedule} my sister Tiffany {who also teaches LPM} helped him in his second private lesson were they worked together to finalize his piece.  He was lucky to work with his super talented aunt.

Most of these kids have been in the same music class for 4 years - they have become good friends.
 He cracks me up.
What a ham.
He was SO excited about the trophy that Mrs. Emily awarded him.
This is how excited he is to be graduating from Let's Play Music ...
and starting private piano lessons next week!
No summer break here ... we are keeping with the momentum and starting piano right away.

Quinn's move.

Today we said good-bye to my brother Dallin and his wife Becca.
They are moving to St. Louis, Missouri to start a new job.
Pete insisted on sitting on the ground for this picture.
Pete is going to miss Uncle Dallin.
I hope Dallin and Becca don't mind the two stowaways in the back of the truck!!!
Pete climbed in and started making himself at home, eating their snacks.  I made Becca a HUGE bowl of my grandma Quinn's cheese popcorn for the three day drive.
Dallin trying to seal my mom's razor.
Pete wanted a ride in the big truck.
 Good-bye.

He always asks for Razor rides when we are at grandmas.

Anniversary and Mother's Day.

We got up bright and early yesterday morning to send these three off to St. George for the weekend.  It's our nephews baptism and our nieces baby blessing.
Truman and Bodie were so good about getting woken up early AND about getting their church clothes on so early for the long car ride.

Gregg called me when they were about half way there and said their had been a water pipe break at the church and so the baptism got postponed.  So ... they didn't have to wake up or drive that early after all.  Bummer.  But, they made it safely and the baptism happened later in the day.
The bapstims boy!
Truman, Lincoln and Bodie.
I am really glad the boys got to be there to support Lincoln - he is a good example to them.  Saturday afternoon they had a good time playing together and swimming at the hotel pool.
This morning I got this cute picture and video.
I am missing these cute boys {all three of them} on Mother's Day but glad they are with family.  Today was our niece Lucy's baby blessing.

Truman made me this Mother's Day card at school.

I won't be getting my annual Mother's Day picture with by boys today :(
And yesterday for mine and Gregg's 11th wedding anniversary I spent it alone :(

That's okay - it's just the way things work out sometimes.  We will celebrate another day.

Mother's Day Spa.

This morning I was invited to Bodie's school for a Mother's Day Spa.
When I arrived he served me a glass of fresh lemon water, he was so excited to have me there.
First I sat on a mat and enjoyed a really nice massage by Bodie.
Our friends Kristi and Annabelle were next to us - Kristi enjoyed her head massage!!
Next Bodie gave me a nice manicure.
Bodie decided a manicure looked kind of nice, he wanted to join in!
The kids sang for us and recited a poem,
and gave us homemade gifts.
Cute card with a picture of our family.
Love kid artwork.
That is me in the purple and Bodie in the blue.
I love Bodie.
He is a really good kid.
He was so proud to have me at school with him which made the morning really fun.
It was teacher appreciation week so we gave our teachers these oranges and notes written by the boys.

Dual Program

Last night after soccer we RAN to the school for a Dual Immersion program.
Each of the grades had the opportunity to 'show-off' what they have learned this year.

Such cute kids.

By the time these kids are done with 3rd grade they are fairly fluent in two languages - and by the time they are done with 7th grade they can read, write and comprehend better than a return missionary {according to our principle}.  When they enter High School they will learn a 3rd language - it's a pretty cool program.  It is pretty amazing what Truman has learned already.  Truman's Spanish reading level is the same level his English reading level was when he started 1st grade - he also does all his math in Spanish.

End of spring soccer.

Tonight was Truman's last spring soccer game.
Our buddy Luke.
I love this kid.
He loves soccer.
We had a great team and a great season.
They went undefeated!
Great job team and great job coach Gregg :)
Bodie was their number one fan!  He went to ever single game with Gregg - he loves supporting his older brother.

Pete play.

This is currently one of Pete's favorite toys.
He lines up his cars and trains and shoots them down the ramp.
And for some reason his favorite place to play is ontop of the sofa table.
I love watching Pete play every morning after the big boys go to school, I clean the kitchen and he plays.
