Skiing.

Today it worked out that our entire family could go skiing at Sundance.
It was a beautiful warm day to ski and the boys had a blast.
 Like-father-like-son.
 A little dazed because it is nap time.
 Today was a break-through day of skiing for Truman.  He usually ski's between our legs - last week when we were doing this he kept asking to go by himself but I was worried to let him because we were by ourselves.  Today with Dad on his ski's and me just in winter boots and snow pants we made a great team on the mountain helping Truman learn to ski by himself.

Gotta love spring skiing, the coat, hat and gloves all came off then it was the unzipping of the snow suit.
Gregg and Bodie on the tow-rope.
To our surprise Bodie did not really like going fast down the ski hill.
Look at that concentration!
It was fun to see Trumans confidence as he learned the feel of maneuvering his own skis.
What a great day!

Swimming.

Yesterday afternoon we went swimming at Grandpa and Grandma Simons pool for Bodies birthday.
{at his request}
I love the water spilling out of his back pocket.
Truman likes to tell me when I can and can't take pictures of him.
The boys are always jumping off things at home and yelling "cannonball" - the pool is the best place for that.
New goggles.
Water basketball.
Lately Bodie has seemed so grown up to me.  And now that he can swim with his life jacket on and goggles, he seems even bigger {check out his eyes}

Bodies Birthday.

Our little Bodie turned two today!
We celebrated his birthday all weekend with family.  Bodie told me a few weeks ago that he wanted a basketball birthday party.  He was so excited to go to the store to get basketballs for his friends and balloons.  He also loved checking the fridge to see the progress of his basketball cake.

He makes great faces while blowing out candles.

Still working on blowing out candles.
 We are making good use of the ball cake pan!
I am getting more confident in making and icing round cakes.

 We served orange veggies and quiche for dinner before cake and ice cream
{bummed I didn't get a picture of the quiche in little matching pock-a-dot trays for the kids}
Why is throwing a party so much fun?!  And so magical for the kids?!

 So excited about the singing birthday Thomas train that Grandpa and Grandma Simons gave him.

 I wanted to also include this picture of Bodie opening a gift from Truman.  Look how cute Truman is watching Bodie open it.  It was a load of bubbles and bubble blowers for this summer - although quickly after Bodie opened this gift Truman had the brilliant idea of getting in the tub and blowing bubbles {actually they went back and forth between the tub and shower}.
So much fun.
I think the might have used all the bubbles already.
Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

Skiing Weather.

 I took Truman up to Sundance yesterday afternoon for some spring skiing, it was such a beautiful day!  He did a really good job - he is getting stronger and better each time.
 Waving 'hi' as we go.
He wanted me to let go of him so bad so he could ski down the mountain himself.
Hello Spring!
