Tennis.

w
 It is spring break in Wasatch county this week so we are having a staycation.
The last two days we have gone to Red Ledges to play tennis and swim in the afternoon.

Truman is pretty good at tennis; for a two year old.  He and Gregg hit it back and forth several times.
Gregg was a Colorado state high school tennis champion so he is excited for Truman and Bodie to play.

{little white boy can jump!}
Gregg posed this picture so some day when Bodie is a champ we can show this!

Easter morning.

Gregg and I are still not clear on what roll the Easter Bunny is going to play in our kids future - I want my kids to have the fun memories of easter baskets left by the easter bunny like I did.  But when you think about the whole thing and the real reason for the holiday, it all seems a little warped.
The boys got new balls and books for Easter.
 Gregg are you really sleeping?
 After morning baths everyone got back in bed to read the new Easter books.

Easter Menu.

 My first time cooking a ham!  Not that I can take any credit, it was already cooked, I just had to heat it up in the oven for several hours and then glaze it {again, the glaze was already made I just had to apply it}
Twice baked potatoes with potatoes straight from my grandpa Quinn in Idaho.
{they were amazing - sour cream, chives, real bacon bits, pepper jack cheese and cheddar on top}
 Strawberry fruit pizza made by Gregg.
{I don't recommend using fat free cream cheese}
 Tara brought her amazing cupcakes with even better frosting for Presley's birthday
I made lemon bunt cakes with lemon glaze for all the YW for Eater - there were left overs.  Yes, we technically had three desserts!  Plus all the candy from the Easter egg hunt.

{We also had salad and cinnamon pull-a-parts but I forgot to take pictures of them}.

Easter Celebration.

 Bodie looking at an Easter card from Grandpa and Grandma Simons.
We had our cousins the McGowns and our uncle Dallin over for Easter dinner and a little birthday celebration.
 Presley {the birthday girl} and Stella.
The kids table.
Bodie and uncle Dallin.
The adult table.

Roses from the Easter bunny and daffodils from my garden {!}
 A couple of weeks ago my girlfriends and I got together and made these Easter garlands {inspired by some at Pottery Barn kids}.
 It was Presley's 6th birthday.  The two pictures above are of her blowing out her six candles on her cupcake. The two picture below are of her dad re-lighting the candles and letting her blow them out again!  She thought that was pretty cool!

The kids and the dad's did a little easter egg hunt {thanks Dallin for sponsoring that} I didn't get any pictures because it took place while the mom's were inside cleaning  up dinner.

We ended with an Easter lesson from the Nursery manual and the real meaning of Easter.

Jazz.

Gregg and I went on a fun date to a Jazz game tonight.  We scored two tickets to a "hospitality suite" to watch the game with friends.  A buffet style dinner was served with tons of sweets to top it off.
We reminisced about the last Jazz game we went to {see here}.

Walks, conference & student council posters.

 You've got to love good weather on Conference weekend and long "between session" walks!

Aaron, Tiff, Anna, Grandpa, Grandma, Jean, Bodie, Truman, Me, Quinn, Addie, Dallin, Enoch
{I am not sure where Gregg and McKay were for the photo ...
Nate and Lauren missed their flights so they didn't make it until later}
And what would a spring conference weekend be without me making some Park City High School Student Council posters?  I have made posters for four younger brothers and their various student council campaigns.  McKay kept reminding me this was the last time I would get to do this.  I don't know about that.  Addie was pretty interested in it all; it won't be long before she will be involved in stuff like this.
{pictures by Addie - she also likes to use my camera!}
This is only one of 32 posters we made.
{Just to give you a little perspective that sign is laying across a three car garage}
 I am pretty sure these kids were in the tub the entire time the guys were at priesthood session!
We had to keep adding warm water to the tub.
You can't really tell from these pictures but the bathroom was a mess!  They somehow managed to pull down the entire curtain rod.

AND most importantly we were all on standby {and still are} waiting for my brother Anthony in Connecticut to call and tell us they had their baby...!
We missed you Ant, Sharon, Ira and baby #2.
