Hamburgers.

We met up with the Hopkinsons cousins today for a fun outing.  It stared in Heber at the Dairy Keen for hamburgers and fries.

Next we tried out the new Kohler Dairy in Midway.  Amazing!  I think it rivals Reed's Dairy in Idaho Falls {sorry all you Idaho fans...}

We drove over to my parents new property in Midway.  They bought 3 acres by Solider Hollow for a future house.  Before heading home for naps we made one last stop at the Midway Corner Bakery for cupcakes.  Yep, hamburgers, fries, chocolate milk, ice-cream and cupcakes for lunch!

Volleyball.

Tonight we went down to Provo to cheer on the BYU men's volleyball team.
Here is Presley out on the court showing us her "Y"
Bodie wears earphones because the noise.
We met up with Dallin for Pizza before the game.
The Head Coach ... our brother-in-law!!  Good job Chris.
It has been  really fun supporting Chris and his team this season.  Volleyball games are high paced and thrilling to watch.  Truman likes the chance to hangout with cousins and see the "big boys" play ball.
A kiss for the coach for their win.

Church Ball.

For the past six weeks Truman and I have been going to our Young Womans basketball games once a week.   The girls have improved dramatically and we made it to the regional finals.  Tonight they won their game so next week they play the best Heber Stake team in the semi-finals.  Congratulations.
During timeouts and half time Truman will run out onto the court and shoot his little ball.  Tonight Gregg and Bodie came with us to play.  My boys love it!
After the game we did dinner and then put the kids to bed.  Our ward woman's team also made it to the finals so at 9:00 I went back over to the church to play in our game (I have been playing every Thursday night for the past six weeks too).  Unfortunately we lost to a team that played really sloppy ball.  I was a sore looser about their sloppy play and starting fouling ugly in the fourth quarter.

Bodie.

I can not believe that Bodie is one - that was a fast year!  I love looking back at these newborn shots.
{okay, you were all right, he DID have a big nose, I was in denial... but I think he grew into it!}

We went to the doctors today for his one year check up.
He is super small - even smaller then Truman was at one - although it does not seem like it.

17 pounds 3 ounces
28 inches

Bodie is very mellow.  He still takes two naps a day and sleeps 12 hours at night.  He drinks out of a bottle, although he used a sippy cup at grandma's the other day.  On Sunday we were telling the hometeachers that he does not crawl yet, we sat him down and he got up on all fours and crawled across the room - so we know he can do it although he still prefers to army crawl {scoot}.  When playing with an array of toys he will go for a ball first!  He has four teeth on top and two on bottom.  He claps, does high-five and pat-a-cake.  He can say "ma'ma" and "da, da, da" but he does not know what they mean.  He will eat, or at least try, almost anything.

 Look how skinny his leg was at birth - no fat on the poor kid.
And a picture of Truman a year ago.

Maniac Magee.

My sister recommend this book to me a while ago.
Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli.
It was the cutest book and so well written.  I highly recommend it {it's a youth chapter book so it would take you about a night to read it}

Bodies Birthday.

 Good morning birthday boy .
 He learned that fire is hot and will burn you.  Ouch!
{I could not find my birthday banner so I had to whip up a new one}
 Why didn't someone warn me that cake-pops are so time consuming to make?!
 Uncle McKay.

 Brothers.
Siblings.

{Gregg's first birthday}
 For Truman's first birthday Gregg wanted me to make the same baseball cake that he had for his first birthday.  We decided to keep the tradition alive and do a baseball cake for Bodies' first birthday.

 I wanted to take a picture of all the cousins together.  It was a treat to have Elliot and Jonas here for the party.  As you can see by this point Truman had maxed out.  Stella was trying to keep Truman from moving and Presley was preoccupied with Bodie!  It makes for a good laugh!

Nicknames.

Gregg is notorious for making up nicknames for people.  His brother Brad and his wife Amber are "Bramber"  My cousin Jake and his wife April are "Japril"   When I got up this morning Gregg and Truman had made these labels {which everyone was wearing} with nicknames for everyone in our family.  Kind of funny!
 We all call Bodie "the bodster"
 Trumans nickname is from a Dr. Seuss book.
 "dadster"
"Momster" not to be confused with "monster"

{"Laurenate" is Lauren and Nate}

sick.

All four of us have been fighting off colds this week.  It has not been fun.  I thought this was really cute, Truman with his monkey in our bed watching a movie today.  Here is to a better tomorrow.
